IPTV Smarters Pro is the app most people use to watch their IPTV line, and for good reason — it's clean, it works on almost every device, and once you're logged in it splits everything neatly into Live TV, Movies and Series with a proper TV guide. The only part that trips people up is that very first login. So here's exactly how to do it, whichever login type you have, plus the fixes for the errors that come up most. These are the same steps we send our own customers the moment their line is ready, so it's exactly what works in practice — not theory.
What you need before logging in
When you sign up with StarShare, we send you your login details on WhatsApp or email. You'll have one of these two:
- Xtream Codes login — a server URL, a username and a password. This is the one we recommend; it gives you the tidy Live / Movies / Series layout and the TV guide.
- M3U URL — a single long link that loads all your content in one go.
Both work in IPTV Smarters Pro. If you have both, go with Xtream Codes.
Installing the app
IPTV Smarters Pro is on pretty much everything:
- Android phone / box: Google Play Store, or the APK we can send you.
- Firestick: install it through the Downloader app (see our Firestick setup guide).
- iPhone / iPad: the App Store (it may be listed as Smarters Player Lite).
- Windows PC: download the desktop version.
Install it, open it, and accept the terms on the first screen. Now you're ready to log in.
Logging in with Xtream Codes
On the login screen, choose Login with Xtream Codes API, then fill in:
- Any Name — a label for yourself, like "StarShare". It doesn't affect anything.
- Username — exactly as we sent it, no extra spaces.
- Password — again, exactly as sent (these are case-sensitive).
- Server URL — the full address including the port, for example
http://yourserver.com:8080. Don't add anything after the port.
Tap Add User. The app connects, checks your line, and loads your channels. If your playlist is large, the first load takes a minute — that's completely normal.
Logging in with an M3U URL
If you were given an M3U link instead, choose Load Your Playlist or Login with M3U URL, give it any name, paste the full link, and tap Add User. Everything loads as a single list.
Setting up the TV guide (EPG)
With Xtream Codes, the TV guide usually loads automatically. If it doesn't show, go into the app's settings, find the EPG option, and refresh it. Give it a few minutes to populate — it pulls the whole schedule in the background.
Fixing common login problems
If it won't log in, it's almost always one of these — and they're all quick to fix.
"Invalid credentials" or it just won't connect
Nine times out of ten this is a tiny typo. Re-type the details slowly rather than copy-pasting (copied text sometimes grabs an extra space). Check that the port number is included in the URL, and that you're using http or https exactly as we sent it. If it still fails, your subscription may have expired — message us and we'll confirm.
"Maximum connections reached"
Your line is already playing on another device. A standard plan allows one screen at a time, so close it on the other device first. If you regularly want to watch on two or more screens together, ask us about a multi-connection plan.
It worked before, now it won't
Update the app to the latest version first — old versions sometimes break on the login screen. If that's fine, it's usually either an expired line or your network temporarily blocking the port. Trying a VPN, or asking us for an alternate port, sorts this out.

What's the difference between Xtream Codes and M3U login?
Xtream Codes uses a URL, username and password, and splits your content into Live, Movies and Series with a TV guide. An M3U URL is a single link that loads everything as one list. Xtream Codes is usually the smoother option.
Why does it say "invalid credentials"?
Usually a small typo in the URL, username or password, a missing port number, or an expired subscription. Re-enter carefully and make sure your plan is still active.
What does "maximum connections reached" mean?
Your line is already in use on another device at the same time. Close the other stream, or ask us for a multi-connection plan.
Does it work on all devices?
Yes — Android, Firestick, iPhone, iPad, Windows and Smart TVs. The same login details work everywhere.
